Advanced Guide

This free online geopolitical strategy game has deeper mechanics you will meet while playing. This article will explain them to you and how it all works.

Self-Sufficiency?

Game was made with the thought of players employing other players and NPCs, to produce items, not to use Work as a manager (WAM) as a main production source. Well yes you definitely can self supply yourself but you will pay quite some gold for that and it is not the most efficient way for sure.

WAM is meant as an extra production in times of need and well some extra source of getting items - first WAM of the day is free (just 1 company), rest are paid and it increases per company. After Free WAM rest starts with a cost of 1g and it increases x2 per company! So each company starts with 1g and each WAM increases x2.

Example here with 3 companies selected for WAM

Companies

Let’s look at companies, as noted above you can use companies for WAM and for hiring other players/NPCs. Is there a difference? Yes!

WAM only has base production which can be only decreased (Pollution), while hiring other players and NPCs brings a lot more production, all bonuses are included (region bonus, economy skill, buildings,..). Which also means it’s way more effective way of gaining items in this game BUT pollution does also affect the production here.  (NPCs and Pollution are explained below).

Before opening a company think about how you will use it, if it’s only going to be used for WAM, well it does not need to be in a bonus region since it gains nothing from it but pollution in those regions will probably be higher because of more workers (more companies).

If you are going to be hiring other players+NPCs and or also WAM, bonus region is usually a better choice - you can check the map for bonuses and current pollution. If pollution is already quite high I would suggest picking alternatives, maybe even check for buildings that also can give extra production to certain types of companies.

Sometimes a non-bonus region will be a better choice than a bonus one simply because of pollution.

Production

With every level production of the company decreases (products companies), so Q1 will produce a lot more than Q5, the intent behind this, is to make more Qualities useful not just Q5 companies. Meaning more qualities will be used in-game and highest quality for more important occasions.

NPCs

With all that said, let's take a look at NPCs first. Why even have NPCs? Well creator of the game wanted a solution to stale economies and dead economies over game time by adding NPCs so what else the system tries to achieve is:

  • flowing production and consumption in the game
  • make taxes more important
  • easier for players to sell products
  • competition on the job market, trying to get NPC to work for you (more CC usage)
  • increased importance of CC (local currencies)

How is an NPC born/spawned?

Every 370g invested in your core regions is 1 NPC, BUT 1 player can only contribute 740g towards NPC count, which means 1 player can potentially only contribute for 2 NPCs.

This count is seen as per individual entity in the game, meaning if you open another holding company for 740g, it is counted toward NPCs through holding companies - country companies count the same way.

NPCs die when a players with companies goes inactive, and thus their contribution is not eligible anymore. The same is true when someone destroys their own company.  Note: When NPC dies the oldest one dies first.

Every opened company in multiple countries % of value is counted, example:  having 1 Q1 (10g worth) company in Spain and 9 Q5 (3330g worth) in Portugal, that is total value of 3340, so that would mean 0.29% toward Spain and rest of gold is counted in Portugal.

1 important factor is also, only active entities are counted, active means logged in at least once in the last 7 days.

Limitations in regards to users and NPCs:

Company owner can not have more than 50% of the amount of country NPCs working on the same day
Company can not have more than 2 NPCs working on the same day

So how do they actually work?

They can be hired on the job market and they work just like players do, they also buy items with earned money, their goal is to spend all the available money in their “account”. So they don’t generate extra currency (except when born the same as players 7.5CC).  They won't work if pay is less than 80% of the average wage of real players in the country. NPCs have their own “playtime” that changes daily,  they don’t fight in battles!

When buying items their target is spending 80% of the money on 36 food rest for weapons and 20% on tickets.

Game also has Entrepreneur NPCs who are born with companies in their possession and can hire other players or NPCs, they work for players as well, but they only spend 20% of their money on the market, the rest is saved for the wages.  They will also put items produced in their companies on the market. Each nation starts with 1 NPC and that is Entrepreneur, a new Entrepreneur can be born with 10% chance everytime new NPC is spawned.

Pollution

It’s there to stop overproduction in the game. Needs of the players are defined in the game and the math goes from there.

Only active players that worked at least twice in the last week are counted. Each active player adds 11,144 points to the total production cap.

If there is 5 active people that means 5*11144=55720 points, if the server has 10 regions it means each region has: 55720/10=5572 production points per 7 days.

NPCs are neutral in pollution calculation because their contribution is negated by them buying items from the market, based on how many things they bought.

So in short, more working (more WAM) means more pollution.

Buildings

Part of the game that is more important on a national level but it affects a lot of things. They can add certain bonuses to each region and Hospital for example even adds nationality based bonuses.  Strategy of placing these buildings is key to success of your nation.

We have 4 types of buildings:

  • Hospital: more maximum energy (regeneration is still same) and chance at medic bags
  • Military base: fighting bonuses on region and even atomic bomb on level 5
  • Production fields: increases production of raw material in the region and NPC gold investment needs are lower.
  • Industrial zone: increases production for all companies making products in the region and decreases pollution in the region.
