Patch Notes — 5 September → 12 September

Here we go again!
Keeping our weekly tradition alive, here are the patch notes for 6 → 12 September.

Last week was all about the Holding reforms. This week is all about you: your character now has Attributes, a big change to how your account grows. Grab a coffee, this one is worth reading to the end!

Attributes Are Here

Your character now has seven attributes, and you decide where their points go. Every level you reach gives you 3 attribute points, up to level 50. That is 150 points in total. There is no limit per attribute: spread them out, or put all 150 into a single one.

Made for new players, fair to veterans:

🧭 New players finally have a clear direction: level up your account. Every level brings 3 more points, so every level up makes your character stronger, in battle and in the economy. The road from level 1 to 50 now has a real goal.

🎖️ Veterans get everything right away. Points are counted from your level. If you are level 50 or higher, there is no progression to do: your 150 points are already waiting, ready to be placed wherever you want. Below level 50, you receive the points for every level you already reached (a level 20 player starts with 60), and keep earning 3 per level until 50.

The seven attributes:

💪 Strength: +5 damage per point, added to every hit before your rank, weapon and bonuses multiply it. 150 points = +750 damage.

🎯 Accuracy: +0.1% hit chance per point, up to a 90% total. Points never lower the hit chance your equipment and buildings already give you.

🍀 Luck: +0.1% critical chance and +0.2% critical damage per point. 150 points = +15% critical chance and +30% critical damage.

❤️ Endurance: +1 maximum energy per point, on top of your country's maximum that it can go past the 600 cap. 150 points = +150 maximum energy, new max energy is 750 now!

👔 Leadership: +0.1% production per point for the employees of the companies you own, or run as a holding's CEO. 150 points = +15%.

📈 Economic Aptitude: +0.1 economic skill per point. It counts for production and for job requirements, while the skill you grow by working stays the same. 150 points = +15.

🏗️ Construction Efficiency: +0.1% building progress per point. 150 points = +15%.

Combat balance: read this before your next fight

⚔️ Every hit now starts from 500 base damage instead of 1,000. It is still multiplied by your power level, and your rank, weapon and bonuses still multiply the whole hit. Strength adds its +5 per point on top of that base, so your points now weigh a lot more. Example: at power level 50, your damage used to start from 1,000. Now it starts from 500, and 150 Strength points bring it back to 1,250.

🎯 Every fighter now starts from 75% hit chance instead of 80%. Accuracy points win it back: 50 points bring the base back to 80%, and 150 points take it to 90%.

📉 The main goal of these changes is to achieve basically the same old values, but considering attributes progression

How to place your points:

📍 Open the Training Center in Eclesiar 2.0: the Attributes panel sits right under the training box. Use the up arrow on any attribute, and the panel shows the effect of your points right away.

🔔 Every level up shows your +3 attribute points, with a Distribute points button that takes you straight to the panel. On desktop, the level badge in the top bar also shows how many points are waiting.

📱 On phones, the panel starts folded to save space. Tap its header to open it.

🧑‍✈️ New citizens don't have to figure it out alone: The Envoy now explains the new training XP and walks you through placing your first points.

Training: more XP, as often as you want

🏋️ Training now gives 2 XP per session instead of 1, and you can train more than once a day. Your first session of the day is still the one that raises your power level and counts for daily quests. Every extra session also costs 10 energy and gives XP only. Extra sessions are available in the Eclesiar 2.0 Training Center.

🎁 Donate for +2 XP: add 5 Food Q1 or 20 Weapon Q1 to a session, and it gives 4 XP instead of 2.

New item: Retraining Manual

📘 Changed your mind about your build? The Retraining Manual returns every attribute point you placed to your pool, so you can reorganize your character from scratch. It costs 30 gems in the Grand Bazaar. If you have no points placed, the manual is not used up.

Why this matters:

Until now, a new citizen had very few signs of what to do next, and reaching a new level changed little about how they played. Attributes change that: every level is 3 more points and a stronger character, which gives every new player a clear first goal.

Veterans keep their power level, equipment and progress, and benefit from the new system from day one, with 150 points to shape their playstyle: frontline fighter, critical hunter, industry boss or master builder. It is your call, and if you change your mind, the Retraining Manual has your back.

Other changes this week

War & diplomacy

War declarations: the shortest duration is now 8 days instead of 7. You can pick 8, 14, 21 or 30 days, and the price scales with the duration.

🏳️ Only a complete surrender is unilateral. Conceding every region the attacker declared still needs only your congress. Conceding less is a peace treaty, so the attacker's congress votes on it too.

Surrender explains itself. While your country defends a declared war, the Surrender law is always listed. When it can't be used, it tells you why (for example, when the attacker holds none of the regions it declared).

📜 War declarations are no longer denied because of someone else's battle. A declaration that passed its vote could be refused just because a third country was invading a region of either side. Not anymore.

🤝 Alliance renewals. In its last 5 days, an alliance can be renewed with the same law. The renewal adds a new term to the current alliance and always pays the peacetime price. Trying earlier tells you how many days are left.

🛂 Fairer wartime citizenship. The wartime surcharge on citizenship requests (and on moving a holding) now counts only the wars of the country you are joining, not the one you are leaving.

🗳️ New presidential elections can be proposed from Eclesiar 2.0 again. The proposal was failing with a "Bad Request" error.

🖥️ Eclesiar 1.6: Start War is back in the Congress proposal form, with the duration picker, up to two war goal regions and a live cost preview.

🎯 Battle fixes. Missing a FORCES button no longer switches the side you fight for, and the button is easier to hit. When the server doesn't answer a hit, the game now checks whether it was registered instead of reporting it as failed. We also fixed a stuck "Another battle action is still resolving" message.

Military units

🪖 Squad sheets for everyone. Any player can open a squad's sheet to see its levels and bonuses. The sheet also explains that the squad bonus only counts in the battle of the unit's current order, fighting for the side that order supports.

⏱️ Squad cooldown and party ideology messages now show real values instead of a raw "%s".

Economy

🏢 Holdings can no longer buy shares on the Stock Market. Buy orders a holding already placed are no longer filled, and the holding's CEO or accountant can cancel them to get the reserved gold back.

📦 Every warehouse shows its money. Your personal storage and the country, holding and military unit warehouses now show their treasury. In military units, Distribute got its own labelled button next to Storage.

💱 Monetary Market. One currency picker now drives every tab. When you create an offer, the suggested rate comes from the best offer on the same side of the market, instead of the price the other side fills instantly.

💼 Job offers count positions. A company that posted 40 vacancies no longer shows "1 position", and the count now appears where you post offers.

🏦 Bank history links. Names in your transaction history now open that player, country, holding, military unit or NPC, and say what they are.

⛏️ Mine claims. Your assigned claim now shows which country it is in, and who owns it when the region is occupied.

📣 Recruitment. A recruit now counts for your country's monthly recruitment objective and ladder in the month they become active, not the month they signed up. Invites made in the last days of a month count toward the next one.

Quality of life

💬 The chat unread badge now also shows during battles and constructions.

🛡️ On phones, press and hold a worn equipment piece in the Training Center to read its stats.

🔕 Closing a notification card at the top of the screen no longer opens the map layers.

📱 On the iOS app, adding a link or a YouTube video in the article editor no longer closes the app.

👤 Player profiles now count attributes in their combat numbers, and Economic Power includes Economic Aptitude.

🌍 The Training Center, the Attributes panel and the new surrender texts are translated into every language the game supports.

That's all for this week! Go place your points, try a few builds and tell us what you think. See you on the battlefield!
