Your Voice Matters: Player Survey & War Changes on 15 October

Hello, citizens of Eclesiar!

We want to hear how the game is working for you, and we have an important war-system change to announce in advance. Please take part in our new player feedback survey and read the rules below so your country has time to prepare.

Your Experience, Your Priorities

Our player feedback survey is now open. We ask everyone to take part:

Open the Eclesiar Player Feedback Survey

Whether you are a new Steam player, a long-time citizen, a fighter, a trader or a country leader, your experience matters. Tell us what you enjoy, what gets in your way, and which parts of the game and interface need attention first.

Think about the past 30 days, or your time since joining if you are newer. For interface questions, focus on the version and device you use most often. Concrete examples help us understand a problem: what were you trying to do, and what made it difficult?

Participation is voluntary, and positive, negative and mixed feedback are all welcome. Answers are linked to your player account and visible to the Eclesiar team; the survey is not anonymous.

War-System Change: Effective 15 October 2026

The following war protections will take effect on 15 October 2026, including in wars that are already active. We are announcing them now to give attackers, defenders and their allies time to adjust their plans.

We identified a situation we had not fully accounted for: a temporarily occupied region can become the target of successive battles between other countries, leaving its owner unable to begin a recovery. We are changing that interaction so an eligible recovery can take its place in the battle sequence.

Here, the owner means the country that owned the region before the temporary occupation began. This protection concerns provisional occupations, rather than a country's historical claim to permanently annexed land.

How Prepared Recovery Will Work

  1. Prepare during the ongoing battle. The owning country's government can use Prepare recovery for an eligible provisionally occupied region. The game validates the request and reserves the attack's Gold cost.

  2. The current battle finishes. Its outcome is applied normally. Preparing a recovery does not interrupt it or change its winner.

  3. The reserved recovery goes next. If the region is still occupied by a country with which the owner has an eligible active war, the recovery battle starts automatically against that occupier, ahead of any new third-party attack.

  4. Unneeded or invalid preparations are refunded. If the region has returned to its owner, the preparation is cancelled and the reserved Gold is returned. A cancelled preparation, or one that can no longer start, also returns the reservation.

Priority means a reserved, automatic next battle. Normal eligibility checks and war deadlines still apply when the recovery is due to start.

What Happens When a Third Country Wins?

A third country can retain a provisional occupation only while an active war with the region's owner supports that occupation. If it has no such war, the region returns to its owner.

For example, suppose Country A owns a region, Country B temporarily occupies it, and Country C is fighting B there. A has prepared an eligible recovery:

  • B wins: A's reserved recovery starts against B, provided their war is still eligible.

  • C wins and is at war with A: A's reserved recovery starts against C, provided that war is still eligible.

  • C wins and is not at war with A: the region returns to A, and A's recovery preparation is cancelled and refunded.

Alliances, Damage and Annexed Regions

  • No conflicts between allies. War declarations and battle starts will be checked against alliances, including the country actually occupying the region. Countries already at war with one another cannot form an alliance with each other. Sharing some of the same allies does not, by itself, make two countries allies.

  • Permanent annexation remains separate. These recovery protections apply to provisional occupations. Permanently annexed regions still require ordinary reconquest.

Governments, military units and alliance leaders: review your current wars, occupied regions and planned operations before 15 October 2026. The new protections will apply to eligible situations in existing wars from that date.
