Poland Declares War on Romania

The war of disputes over vampires and folklore has now erupted into full-scale conflict. At 8:00 AM this morning, the Polish government officially declared a state of war against Romania, citing “grave and repeated offenses to national honor, heritage, and the very spirit of Poland.”

The announcement, read to the public by the Minister of National Honor in full winged hussar outfit, stated:

“We have tolerated enough Romanian provocations. Our legends are not to be disrespected. Our history is not for mocking. Poland will rise - not from the grave, but from glory.”

Troops have been mobilized on the southern border. Fighter jets produced by aduch were seen flying over the Carpathians, and loudspeakers in the mountain towns began broadcasting Chopin and traditional folk ballads “to remind the world what culture really sounds like.”

The deciding factor, according to sources, was Romania’s decision to project a giant image of Dracula onto the cliffs overlooking the border, with the words “The Night Belongs to Us” in blood-red light. Poland responded by flooding the area with massive banners of the Wawel Dragon and mobilizing their ceremonial cavalry unit - The Hussars.

Romania has called the declaration “an extreme overreaction” and urged Poland to “drink some beer and relax.” However, Bucharest has also begun reinforcing border defenses and canceling all upcoming Transylvanian tourism campaigns “until  further notice.”

International reactions have ranged from disbelief to fascination. The representatives of WET and EPIC alliances, caught off-guard, issued a brief statement: “This is… not ideal.”

Meanwhile, X is ablaze with hashtags like #HussarsVsVampires and #FolkloreWar, as the best X analysts debate who would win in a real battle - winged cavalry or the undead.

But on the ground, first small battles are happening. Skirmishes have already been reported in the misty passes. The first casualty? A historic tavern, named The Cross & Garlic, was accidentally hit by a stray cannon shot.
