- Kaloyan's Victories over the Crusaders (1205 AD)
Tsar Kaloyan defended Bulgaria against attacks from the Latin Empire. In 1205, his army delivered a severe defeat to the Crusaders at the Battle of Adrianople, ensuring Bulgaria’s independence and strengthening its position in the region.
- Balkan Wars (1912-1913)
In the early 20th century, Bulgaria played a significant role in the Balkan Wars, especially the First Balkan War, successfully liberating territories from the Ottoman Empire.
