Opinion on NPCs

I think that NPCs even if they keep the economy running, by buying and working in industries, they should be removed.

They should be removed because, it would make the game more "alive", by increasing the player-to-player (P2P) interactions, increasing the demand in the market naturally, creating more social bonds.

That's what i think about it, I hope to hear your opinion on the matter.

Aramitz In closed-loop economies, NPCs indeed create wealth, not through currency, but because they work for basically free. In open economies, they help with production but they still get paid. It's not a perfect system but at its core it's not a bad idea.

Em But all the NPCs do is just making the players richer by just buying stuff but that money comes out of nowhere, right?

Nuradeen The problem is, there aren't enough player. The economy will be dead in less than a week if NPCs are removed.
