How Did We Get Here? The History Behind Today’s Borders

It’s been a while since my last article, so for our newer players, here’s a short history lesson to help explain the current borders and how we got here.

After WW5 ended with the defeat of APP and a victory for the KPoppers, the following alliances remained:

APP: Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Hungary, Brazil

URL: Argentina, Chile, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Italy, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland

KPoppers: Bulgaria, South Korea, Serbia, China

Independent countries: Poland, Sweden (wiped), Saudi Arabia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and others.

Sweden was permanently wiped by Poland. Around the same period, Saudi Arabia was re-established by a group of players of different nationalities, many of them Slovenian.

Long before these events, Saudi Arabia had been one of the strongest countries on the server and a close ally of Slovenia. Over time, however, Saudi lost several of its most influential players and eventually agreed to merge with Slovenia. This included territories previously controlled by Saudi Arabia, such as Egypt and Iran. This would later become an important issue.

When Saudi Arabia was re-established, returning players requested some of these former territories, as well as a division of companies that had previously belonged to Saudi. Their requests were partially fulfilled, although not all of their demands were met.

The situation was temporarily settled, but Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to reclaim its former territories never truly disappeared.

Meanwhile, the KPoppers alliance was dissolved. Its former members invited Saudi Arabia to form a new alliance called The Bakers, governed by a High Council chaired by Skaie. Some viewed this as a betrayal, as the previous expectation had been to defeat Bulgaria and Korea rather than eventually join forces with them.

In response to this newly formed alliance, APP sought cooperation with Poland, the largest and strongest country on the server, and invited the third major alliance, URL, to join them. Together they formed a new coalition called Passifist, named after Polish President Passionance, who was in Croatia at the time.

Chile was still part of URL at this point, but later left due to boredom and was welcomed into The Bakers. Serbia joined APP, although they did not take part in WW6, while Sweden/MKD committed themselves to The Bakers.

With tensions between Saudi Arabia and Slovenia still unresolved, the shape of another major war was beginning to form.

It was no longer a question of if, but when.

On June 6, 2026, The Bakers launched their nuclear arsenal against Slovenia. At the time, external intelligence made it possible to detect nuclear launches even though they could not be seen directly in-game. Poland reacted immediately and launched a retaliatory strike.

A new World War had begun.

At the outbreak of WW6, the two sides were roughly divided as follows:

The Bakers: Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, South Korea, Chile, Macedonia, Sweden and to some extent Australia/Columbia although they fought a separate campaign.

Passifist: Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Hungary, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Italy, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, USA and Ireland.

After roughly two and a half weeks of intense fighting, The Bakers emerged victorious.

The borders you see today are largely the result of these events.
