"A brief tractate on ancient history of eSerbians" ¹

Prologue:

Since the very first internet providers spawned in Serbia, with 56kb/s dial-up modems, during the dawn of the internet, although being technologically behind the Western world, first eSerbians paved the path towards establishing the future we know as today. Starting from mIRC, across MSN and such, Krstarica was created, allowing thousands of eSerbians to be born and raised into poor, sad, self-proclaimed and self-righteous pseudo-intellectuals, further reinforcing their infantile cocoons wrapped in introvertion to the point of no return, cementing them in the safe, familiar and warm stench of ammonia produced by their ballsacks, making them feel all-powerful, invulnerable and untouchable, immune to the reality that they tried so hard to escape from. They were finally free to portray themselves any way they chose to, with the majority choosing to embrace characteristics that allowed them to express all of their inherent and acquired complexes, traumas and strengthening their resolve in finding more and more ways to cope. But alas, it was all short-lived. As the number of internet users raised every day, in an exponential fashion, those eSerbians now faced another enemy - other eSerbians. Some of them actually welcomed fresh meat, since it meant there was a big influx of "punching bags" and "dumpsters" for them to relieve themselves on or stroke their fragile egos without having to suck on their own thumb. Initially, humans bond over shared characteristics and experiences, values they stand for, interests, etc, fully accepting the differences and diversity of others. The problem comes when some of them share the same/similar characteristics they hate their own guts for, therefore starting to (unconsciously) relentlessly attack the other party, failing to realize it's just their own mirror they are hitting, thus ending with even more wounds, scars and broken pieces than they had before. Pointing fingers and blaming everybody else, with the exception of their own self, avoiding any form of responsibility demanded and criticism directed towards them is the only way they know. God forbid they, even just for a second, think of how their ways may not be (least to say) the very best of choices, their ego might start thinking of itself not being in the right, and ego, my friends, hates that more than anything. The fear that arises when ego thinks of being wrong feels just like an impeding death (I am right, therefore I exist). 

Truth be told, a small minority of eSerbians (author: number that can just as easily be considered to be a statistical mistake) that just wanted to be friendly, utilize the resources for connecting or capitalizing on networking capabilities that Internet provided just silently stood aside and watched in shock how all this ruckus and crabapple develops, spreading faster than mites in a gypsy kindergarten. Those people are the ones that still give me a little bit of hope for the humanity in general, if and only if they stop being silent observers and actually do what is necessary to curb the vermin.
