Macedonia Goes To War

While we'd love to jump right into the roleplay and create some cool lore for Eclesiar, I feel like it's important to explain why we are going to war in the first place.

The two World Wars were disastrous for the Eclesiar community, and I know I’m not alone in wanting to avoid another one. Another one of them would only further harm an already struggling game. Instead, we believe regional, one-on-one conflicts are the way forward. While the appetite for them may not be high right now, we hope to set a new trend—one that makes the game more engaging for all of us.

To keep things fair and honorable, we will strive to keep these conflicts as isolated, as possible without outside interference. Large alliances and overwhelming numbers only lead to unbalanced, drawn-out wars—we’ve learned that lesson the hard way. Now, it’s time for a better approach.

Why Albania?

Simply put, Albania is the only country we have at least a minimal reason to feel like we even want to fight against.

Why not Serbia?

We already had a long-ass drawn-out quite boring war and have no appetite to fight against them any time soon.

Why not Bulgaria?

As long as I'm the President, Macedonia will never attack Bulgaria as I've made a promise at the early stages of the game and will honor it till I resign.

There's no way you attack Albania when Greece is literally there?!

I personally originate from North Greece IRL from one side and speak Greek, I believe at least in this game we should be friends and have normal relations.

Why Albania then?!

We hold a small almost non-existent grudge against them for swapping sides during WW2, we're all about honor and they didn't show much of it. Not the biggest of reasons, we know.

The Varangians are ready to be a step closer to Valhalla and win another war.
