Its a game right, but it also reflects what person you are, if you scam then you are... (i wont say the words, you already know what you are).
If a game like EVE promotes the scam and let it happen then you know what people what you will attract to your game.
If GM/Devs let this happen then the game goes from bad to worse, if you want this to happen then advertise it dont hide in the shadows or comment "bad luck".
Take an action now, so we know what kind of a game we invest our money and time, dont make rules to include and exclude the same thing.
ACT NOW!

Thank you for weighing in on this issue. Too many of the people in this game commenting seem to be from the crypto market where rug pulls are normal, while it is absolutely illegal in a properly functioning financial system.

It is quite sad to see that only a few holdings want to put in the effort in order to be a sustainable business. This is devastating for Eclesiar, especially with such a small playerbase right now.

"same in real life investing in stock has risks..." yea in real life in Europe you will go to prison for fraud people money, maybe Admin is somewhere from central africa where it is allowed to scam people, maybe multies will be allowed because "in real life people are working almost for free", shame for staff ingame that allowed scams.

Ephy, exactly. I understand why those two rules contradict each other, it's just for their protection and that's fine. But it's strange that technically, with current judging of scammers, I can make a multi and then get "scammed" by myself, and then get away with it... They allow a loophole, for what? Doesn't seem to be in their best interests rules written.

Great article! I'd also like to point out that since I went public with the story, Calheta (the new CEO) started a sell of of other companies that were left on the holding as well as making the holding private. Admin's friend and strongest player on the server is openly scamming and publicly mocking shareholders, with admin's help. Nothing weird anout that, right?

Also depending how you see it you could argue meta holdings like Golden Bird completely wreck all these rules and use cases since it treads on the line between holding and player

I wish there was mechanical protection for exfiltrating holding assets but Im not sure how you'd do that without hindering legit trading activities

As you briefly mentioned I don't think rules contradict in spirit: my understanding is exploit is in a mechanical sense -- that you can't just pay 0.1 CC wages to dodge taxes or consolidate resources, but embezzling legitimately gathered funds is just part of the game. But maybe I'm just wrong about that... And in any case it's extremely subject to interpretation and dangerous rules

@Nashura kinda disagree with the proposal about majority of shareholders. I mean this could be 1)very simple manipulated by communities 2)thats not how democracy in stocks work.
And no this isnt something normal that should be allowed. In rl for a company to be in the stock market has to pass way too many criteria and is always regulated. Meaning it thinks like the above happens ,jail is most propably the ending. I guess admin has invested too much on crypto and he believes rugpull's are normal. Anyway since you cant have regulations before opening to stock market ,you can punish players straight as admin by doing something illegal.

Yes Nashura. That would definitely be one way to help prevent things like this to occur. Exactly, investment not going as hoped is one thing, fraud another, and there needs to be some way to hold these people accountable.

I totally agree with what was written and I think it's crazy that game does not have any mechanics to prevent CEO from totally destroying investors and their will to play . In my opinion hard assets in a holding shouldn't be sold out without a prior vote from majority of shareholders by number not majority by shares. This or anyother game mechanic should be implemented to give some sort of protection and I can't understand how this type of scam was not prevented.
I understand that investing in shares has a risk of not making any profit, losing share value, not getting dividends , I can accept these types of risks but not fraud.
