Elegy to the Desert Squads

Beneath the dunes, where golden sands unfurled,
Lay hidden treasures, secrets of a world.
A brotherhood alone knew every stone,
And claimed the glory of this realm their own.

But from a rusted lamp arose an evil djinn,
Who pressed a button with a wicked grin.
And with one stroke, under the desert sun,
The Bedouins’ joy was lost, their world undone.
