New countries should just have a protection until X ammount of time or players after they are added to ensure they are not immediately conquered.

Look at Peru or even South Korea. The first one has a community (polish one but still) since the last world war. The second one has a strong and powerful community since WW2. But some countries like Iraq are dead countries controlled by a foreign one(here, south korea) and used during wars to start revolution/battle. You should start to learn the game, make friends and then start your project, not the other way around. Related french expression: "Tu mets la charrue avant les bœufs."

And also, we have a healthy geopolitical world (less polarized than before). "grow, fail, rise again, form alliances, resist, rebuild.": one example: USA

I thought there will be an Eclesiar 2 anyway next year, so what would be the point?
In my opinion this would just withdraw some of the current players while at the same time reduce the motivation to start a new life in the next one
